Kitten that was rescued from a storm drain with a broken leg has to have its paw put in a cast, hilariously uses the cast as a launcher to run faster: 'This little guy moves fast!'

One of our favorite things about cats is that nothing stops them from creating chaos. Nothing at all.

Cats adapt. That's one of the coolest things about them. They have one goal in life. That goal is chaos. And they chase that goal without letting anything get in their way. Absolutely nothing can stop them from committing crimes. A cat with three legs will use all three of them for chaos and not even notice it's missing a fourth. A blind cat will use its super hearing to commit the purrfect crime, especially if it includes screaming and running over our stomachs at 3 AM. You would think that a broken leg would put a paws on feline shenanigans like these, but no, not even that can make it happen.

This is something that has been proved beyond a shadow of a doubt on r/cats when Bug's story was put up. Bug, as he was being rescued from a drain pipe, sprained one of his paws, and the vets had to put him in a cast. But Bug was committing crimes from the second that he was rescued, and a single cast was not going to stop him. In fact, he has discovered how to use said cast as a launcher - so he can run and commit his crimes faster.

$atxceo OP He's a rescue kitty we pulled from a storm drain. X-rays showed he has a small fracture on his paw. The vet splinted him and he's about two more weeks to go before it can be removed.$

Oh yeah, this little one is beyond ready to take that cast off. He's exploding with energy, ready to take over the world. Or maybe not. Maybe he likes the cast. Maybe he likes having a launch pad for his shenanigans. You never know what it is that is going on though their itty bitty brains. All that matters right now, though, is that he's still enjoying his life even when he's restricted like this.

Ever since Tater Tot, every single kitty in a cast that we see absolutely makes our hearts clench. Sigh, we miss Tater Tot a lot. He was so small, but he made such a big impact. We legitimately cannot look at a single picture of a kitten in a cast without thinking about him. We hope he's catching lots of sunrays and happily chasing butterflies across the rainbow bridge.
